Dr. Lois Geertz, a native of Boulder, Colorado, is passionately devoted to violin playing and teaching. Her love of language and cultural exchange have led to studies and performances in Mexico and Italy. She has been working hard to learn Spanish and hopes to eventually offer bilingual lessons! She and her husband also enjoy traveling, cooking, and going to UH football games.

Dr. Geertz maintains an active solo, chamber music and orchestral career in Houston, TX. She is currently plays with the ECHO Orchestra and is serving as Vice President of the local Suzuki association: STXSA.
